Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Demand Planner to lead and advance its demand forecasting and planning processes. This strategic role will partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, and Operations to develop reliable forecasts, improve planning models, and support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with commercial insight and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities of the Senior Demand Planner will include:

• Own the end-to-end demand planning process, including statistical baseline forecasting, demand shaping, and consensus planning.

• Develop and scale structured demand planning processes aligned with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).

• Serve as the central owner of the consensus demand plan, promoting transparency, alignment, and accountability.

• Partner with analytics teams to design, refine, and improve forecasting models.

• Translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations.

• Lead continuous improvement of forecast logic, segmentation, and modeling approaches.

• Manage and optimize demand planning processes within digital planning platforms and drive stakeholder adoption.

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to incorporate commercial inputs and demand drivers.

• Evaluate market trends, competitive activity, seasonality, customer behavior, and channel dynamics.

• Conduct scenario modeling and what-if analysis to support planning and business decisions.

• Lead the Demand Review process and support S&OP activities, ensuring alignment among demand, supply, and financial plans.

• Monitor forecast accuracy, forecast bias, and value add, identify root causes of variances, and implement improvements.

• Establish standard reporting, planning governance, policies, and processes.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve forecast accuracy, working capital efficiency, and service levels.

• Advise leadership on demand, inventory, and service-level trade-offs using data-driven insights.

• Operate independently while balancing competing priorities and supporting broader supply chain strategy.

Qualifications for the role of Senior Demand Planner:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.

• 7–10+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.

• Demonstrated progression into strategic, leadership-oriented, or process ownership responsibilities.

• Experience developing or improving demand planning processes and forecasting models.

• Experience working with commercial stakeholders and supporting S&OP processes.

• Strong analytical, statistical modeling, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to connect data, market insights, and business context to drive decisions.

• Proficiency with forecasting tools and Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience is a plus.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.

• APICS certification preferred.
