Senior Database Automation Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Database Automation Engineer - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC Plano, TX or Jersey City, NJ.

We are seeking a seasoned and motivated developer with in-depth expertise in database automation and security. The ideal candidate will leverage Python, shell scripting, Linux, and various database technologies including AWS RDS, Postgres, and MSSQL. This position operates within an agile scrum framework and requires a hybrid work schedule of at least three days per week onsite.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server Engineer or other database developer
• Extensive experience with Python and shell scripting
• In-depth expertise with Linux, REST API, AWS RDS, Postgres, and MSSQL
• Strong knowledge of database security concepts such as native audit logging, encryption in-transit and at-rest, entitlements, and password vaulting
• Familiarity with scrum framework values and agile practices, including hands-on knowledge of Jira and CICD
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Desired skills:

• Experience with Guardium or similar activity monitoring tools
• Knowledge of PowerShell and Ansible
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure architecture

Pay range:$79.74 - $87.74 per hour
