Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Migration Specialist to lead complex data migration projects for cloud and on-premise systems. The role involves designing, mapping, transforming, validating, and migrating large volumes of data while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance. This is a 100% remote role with opportunities to work across multiple systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end data migration projects, from requirement gathering to post-migration validation.

• Analyse source and target systems and define detailed data mapping and transformation rules.

• Execute migrations using tools like Skyvia, Informatica, Jitterbit Loader, or equivalent.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for extraction, transformation, and validation of data.

• Perform data profiling, cleansing, deduplication, and validation to ensure high-quality migration.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, errors, or migration failures efficiently.

• Document migration specifications, mapping rules, transformation logic, and validation results for audit and stakeholder reference.

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure alignment on data requirements, dependencies, and business rules.

• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and quality standards throughout the migration lifecycle.

Technical Skills Required:

• Extensive experience in data migration from legacy or multiple source systems to cloud or modern platforms.

• Hands-on expertise with migration tools: Skyvia, Informatica, Jitterbit Loader, or similar platforms.

• Advanced SQL skills (complex joins, CTEs, subqueries, performance tuning).

• Strong knowledge of data analysis, profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.

• Experience with large-scale migrations involving millions of records and complex data structures.

• Familiarity with CRM/ERP migrations (Salesforce, SAP, NetSuite) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with remote stakeholders effectively.

• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science , Information Technology, or related field.

• Relevant certifications in Informatica, Jitterbit, Skyvia, or SQL are a plus.
