Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experiencedSenior Data Engineer with 10+ years of experience in healthcare data engineering and reporting, with strong expertise inHEDIS reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of healthcare data domains includingMember, Claims, Pharmacy, EHR, and Provider data, along with hands-on expertise inInformatica, SQL, and IICS.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines, reports, SQL queries, and scripts while independently troubleshooting complex data discrepancies from bothtechnical and healthcare-domain perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, optimize, and maintainHEDIS reporting solutions.
• Develop complexSQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, and reporting logic.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows usingInformatica / IICS.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Analyze and resolve complexdata discrepancies and quality issues, identifying root causes across source systems and business rules.
• Apply strong healthcare-domain knowledge to validate data and ensure accurate reporting.
• Work extensively with healthcare datasets such asMember, Claims, Pharmacy, EHR, Provider, and related data.
• Collaborate directly with business users, healthcare SMEs, customers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, technical discussions, testing, and production support.
• Optimize SQL queries and ETL processes for performance and scalability.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior/mid-level data engineers.
• Ensure reporting solutions meet data quality, accuracy, and business requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing / Reporting.
• Strong hands-on experience withHEDIS reporting and healthcare analytics.
• Deep understanding of healthcare data and business processes, including:
  • Member / Enrollment
  • Claims
  • Pharmacy / PBM
  • EHR / Clinical data
  • Provider
  • Healthcare quality measures
• Strong expertise inSQL, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, subqueries, performance tuning, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience withInformatica and IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services).
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration, data warehousing, and data quality.
• Proven experience troubleshootingcomplex data discrepancies and performing root-cause analysis.
• Ability to investigate issues from bothtechnical and healthcare-domain perspectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication andcustomer-facing / stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently gather requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with healthcare payers, health plans, or insurance organizations.
• Experience with HEDIS measures, quality reporting, and healthcare regulatory reporting.
• Experience with large-scale healthcare data warehouses.
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards and common healthcare data models.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
