Senior Data Engineer
Chicago, IL (Onsite)
Rate: $55/hr on C2C

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with 7+ years of handsā€on data engineering experience in designing and building cloudā€based data platforms. The role requires strong ownership of Databricksā€based Lakehouse solutions, scalable pipelines, and enterprise data modernization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement endā€toā€end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks (PySpark), DBT, and Delta Lake
  • Build and own Lakehouse architectures (Bronze / Silver / Gold ā€“ Medallion)
  • Develop and optimize batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Drive legacy/onā€prem to cloud data migration
  • Ensure data quality, security, governance, and performance
  • Implement CI/CD, optimize cost/performance, and mentor junior engineers

Required Skills (Mustā€Have)

  • 7+ years of core Data Engineering experience
  • Strong handsā€on experience with Azure Databricks, ADF, ADLS Gen2
  • Python, PySpark, SQL (advanced)
  • Delta Lake / Lakehouse architecture
  • Experience with DBT, Kafka, Snowflake
  • CI/CD, Git, DevOps exposure
