Summary Â
The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) is the not-for-profit corporation that serves as the real estate developer and property manager of the Yard on behalf of its owner, The City of New York (the “City”).  BNYDC constantly strives to provide an environment in which businesses and careers can take root and grow. Â
The Coordinator, Internship Programs, will support all aspects of program operations, including intern recruitment, onboarding, and experience design. Additionally, they will coordinate and interact with Yard businesses and BNYDC departments to place interns at host sites and ensure all parties have a quality experience. They will also help to create and execute professional development/career readiness programming and related events. Â

Responsibilities Â
Support the recruiting process for 3 internship cohorts (Fall and Spring part-time, Summer full-time), including application review, first-round interviews, and company matching Â
Notify candidates of decision/matching outcomes and outline the onboarding process for each cohort Â
Review and approve bi-weekly timesheets for each intern  Â
Coordinate progress check-ins, surveys, and routine correspondence between program hosts (tenant employers) and interns Â
Update and maintain the Airtable database regarding all internship data  Â
Support the Program Manager in recruiting candidates for the Alumni Internship ProgramÂ
Assist with the planning and execution of professional development events by coordinating attendees, partners, and vendors, crafting content, managing RSVPs, etc.Â
Craft and post engaging content for the BNYDC Internship Alumni LinkedIn page Â
Perform other job-related duties as assignedÂ
Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities Â
Commitment and alignment with the vision of the Brooklyn Navy Yard  Â
Excellent communication (oral and written)  Â
Strong project management and organizational skills, with an ability to manage tasks and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects  Â
Ability to build relationships with a diverse set of employers and program participants  Â
Must be proficient with Excel, Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and internet research  Â
Preferred experience with AirTable and/or Salesforce  Â
Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere  Â

Qualifications Â
2-3 years of relevant work experience Â
Bachelor’s Degree required Â
Must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends as needed.Â
