Senior Contract Compliance Auditor
Remote, with travel to client sites as needed (up to 20%)
Perm Role
As a Senior Contract Compliance Auditor , you will find the money our clients’ suppliers owe them under their contracts, prove it, and bring it home. You will serve procurement and finance leaders at Fortune 500 companies, who trust you with supplier relationships worth tens to hundreds of millions of dollars.
Success here means recoveries that are both proven and collected. You read an MSA, statement of work or pricing letter and see where money leaks; you rebuild what should have been billed from invoices and payment data; and you turn the gap into findings, tied to specific clauses and transactions, that hold up when the supplier pushes back. Then you stay with it through negotiation and settlement until the credit, refund or offset lands. You will work with our engagement directors, with client CPOs, category managers, Legal and Accounts Payable teams, and across the table from suppliers’ finance and legal leaders.
Tools and training will be provided to power your success, and you are welcome to expand your “toolbelt” with your own tools and techniques. We learn from each other, as is the mindset of our teams, regardless of position level. You will enjoy a career pathway, with reassurance that you will have opportunities to grow.
Senior contract compliance auditor attributes
- Proves it and collects it: a record of recoveries that were both substantiated and actually paid, not just identified
- Reads contracts like counsel and invoices like a forensic accountant: rate cards, price escalators, rebate tiers, most-favored-customer clauses, audit rights and claim deadlines
- Negotiates with evidence: persuasive and persistent with supplier finance, sales and legal teams, and knows when to concede, revise or hold
- Works fluently with large accounts payable and invoice datasets; advanced Excel required, with SQL, Python or Power BI a plus
- Uses AI to read contracts and scan transactions faster, and verifies every output before it becomes a finding
- Executive presence with CPOs and CFOs; writes findings a client’s Legal team can use as written
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
- Integrity and honesty, without compromise
- Respect for all people
- Able and willing to follow all specified processes and documentation requirements

- Reconstruct what should have been billed: reconcile supplier invoices and client payment data against MSAs, statements of work, amendments, rate cards and pricing letters to find overbilling, unapproved price increases, rate-card and labor-hour violations, missed rebates and credits, duplicate payments and unsupported charges
- Quantify and document findings that hold up: tie each one to the governing clause and transactions, build floor-to-ceiling recovery scenarios, and prepare reports and presentations for client executives and suppliers
- Negotiate recoveries to agreement and collection: lead working sessions with suppliers, rebut pushback with evidence, escalate when needed, and see each settlement through to the credit, refund or offset on the client’s books
- Protect the client’s position: track audit rights, notice requirements and claim deadlines, and work with client Legal on demand letters, notices and standstill agreements
