What will you be doing!Â
- Contract Administration & Compliance
- Reading, analyzing, interpreting, and applying contract terms in daily transactions and minor disputes.
- Acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all commercial and contractual matters.
- Verifying contractual compliance and ensuring technical and commercial conditions are met throughout execution and upon completion.
- Documenting, logging, managing, and tracking contract deliverables, decisions, events, and supplier documentation in accordance with Document Control procedures.
- Contract Execution & Change Management
- Coordinating and leading Contract Kick-off Meetings and Supplier Progress Meetings.
- Managing Contract Change Control to ensure early identification, evaluation, negotiation, documentation, approval, and proper funding of changes.
- Developing Contract Execution Plans in conjunction with the contract team.
- Collaborating with Contract Officers, Supply Chain Management, and Legal to interpret the contract and escalate disputes appropriately.
- Financial & Performance Oversight
- Verifying invoice accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements; monitoring timely supplier payments.
- Leading the development and reporting of contract performance, including cost, schedule, quality, and technical metrics.
- Conducting and supporting performance meetings at the frequency required by the contract.
- Ensuring contract completion by confirming all work, deficiencies, and administrative matters are resolved.
- Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management
- Providing specialized advice in the development and enhancement of contract administration processes, procedures, and tools.
- Participating in and leading Lessons Learned meetings; documenting and sharing lessons identified through contract execution.
- Participating in and leading process and procedure creation or improvement initiatives.
- Supporting organizational learning by sharing best practices and contributing to improvement of contract management frameworks.

What we are looking for:Â
- EducationÂ
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Law, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering and/or Contract Administration.
- Designation holder or enrolment in a Certified Supply Chain Program (E.g., National Institute of Supply Chain Leaders (NISCL)-Certified Supply Chain Leader (CSCL), etc.) is considered an asset.
- ExperienceÂ
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including projects and/or construction projects.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contract management, contract law, and procurement practices, processes, and activities, with an emphasis on complex procurements that require input from technical experts, legal counsel, quality assurance personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Formal training and/or demonstrated experience in customer service, relationship management, negotiation, and conflict, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Experience working in a highly regulated or nuclear environment is considered an asset.
- Technical knowledge of, or demonstrated understanding of, design and construction contracts is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently, establish priorities to meet competing deadlines, and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, accountability, and commitment to results, including the willingness to work additional hours when required to meet business objectives.
- Ability to interpret scopes of work, drawings, and technical specifications, and understand fundamental technical and quality requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, time management, coordination, planning, organization, problem-solving, analysis, research, reporting, customer service, and leadership.
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others without direct authority.
- Ability to lead, coordinate, and facilitate contract administration and contract management activities for multiple and/or complex contracts by applying strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite, SharePoint, ATOM, ISNetworld, E-Sign, and contract risk management applications such as AVEVA is considered an asset.
- Ability to maintain organized, accurate, and comprehensive electronic documentation and contract files throughout all stages of the procurement process in accordance with CNL policies and guidelines.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and use insights to develop effective strategies and tactics.
- Sound knowledge of ethical contracting principles, business conduct, and procurement practices, with a demonstrated commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, motivate, and align staff, internal customers, stakeholders, and contractors/suppliers toward successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated understanding of contract terminology, contract interpretation, contract strategies, pricing models (e.g., Fixed Price, Unit Rate, Time and Materials, and Target Cost), and associated contractual risks and liabilities.
- Knowledge of and experience with quality assurance programs.
- Knowledge of financial management, cost control, and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance programs is considered an asset.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status which hasa minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.” Â

Working Conditions:Â
- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.Â
- Participation in walk downs/navigate throughout the Work Site.
- Working for long hours in a non-standard office environment that may exert physical and mental pressures.
- The environment demands high vigilance to alarms, lights, and signals as a safety requirement.
- Conflicting deadlines and unplanned demands, that may require the incumbent to work beyond the normal working hours.
- Potential access to hazardous environments requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing (PPE&C) to mitigate physical and health hazards.
- Potential hazards include, but are not limited to: dirt, dust, smoke, heat, and other potential industrial hazards.
