About the Team

The Foundations team collaborates with a network of global philanthropic foundations, alongside multilateral aid agencies, aiming to inform, influence, and profoundly impact social and environmental outcomes resulting from their investments in diverse sectors such as education, child development, gender, health, and more. Our primary focus is on catalysing ecosystem transformation by rigorously solving problems, formulating strategic solutions which are logically sound, effective on the ground and ensuring all stakeholders are effectively engaged while their interests are covered.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Consultant in the Foundations team, you will be an integral part of a team that designs and builds solutions that best address our clients’ needs and create measurable impact. In this role, you will be embedded within the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for twelve months, serving as the engagement's standing interface with the ministry. The following will be your key responsibilities:

Delivery Excellence

• Serve as the day-to-day interface between the engagement team and the MoSDE

• Take overall accountability of customer success through active listening, problem solving and providing strategic inputs which align with their vision of high impact on the ground and the ecosystem

• Co-create solutions to meet client’s current and future needs, working closely with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally

• Influence decision making and action at the senior level of high impact organizations to enable positive and sustainable impact

• Develop, manage and grow working relationships with clients and key stakeholders

• Ensure strong project management, team management and overall profitability of projects

Project Management

• Independently build and execute project plans, and manage daily responsibilities efficiently

• Actively track project milestones and manage multiple streams within the project to ensure execution as per timelines

• Proactively identify and report project-related risks, mitigating them in consultation with the project lead

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of key project knowledge assets, ensuring all critical information is well-documented and easily accessible

Problem Solving

• Demonstrate the ability to accurately frame complex problems and translate them into clear and actionable questions for self and team

• Identify and collect necessary data and information, synthesising them to derive the insights required to address the problem effectively.

• Take ownership of the problem-solving process; demonstrate a robust inclination toward taking action and prioritising client needs

• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and seek assistance when needed to ensure effective problem resolution

Collaboration

• Work closely with team members to ensure the achievement of high-quality project deliverables on time.

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders of the organisation to support business growth initiatives.

• Give and receive constructive feedback to the team members in a respectable manner

Key responsibilities:

At Sattva, our goal is realizing the impact on the ground and to drive a collective win by engaging with multiple stakeholders. We are looking for individuals who align with our mission of alleviating poverty in our lifetime and have the following profile:

• 6-8 years of experience in consulting, complex operations, business development and stakeholder management in corporate, social enterprises, consulting firms or global foundations or robust entrepreneurial background

• Prior embedded Government experience: a placement, secondment, fellowship or strategy-unit role inside a Ministry, a State Government or a Government body.

• Demonstrated ability to work with senior officials and navigate inter-ministerial decision-making.

• Postgraduate degree in public policy, management, health or development or equivalent

• Exceptional problem-solving and advisory skills, strong presentation and data analytical abilities

• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively

• Prior experience in leading teams and people management
