**Senior Commercial & Contract Manager**

**Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize profitability and competitive advantage across all business units and market segments.
  • Negotiate, draft, review, and execute commercial contracts with clients, vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure favorable terms and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including contract creation, execution, performance monitoring, renewal, and closure while maintaining detailed documentation and records.
  • Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies for all commercial agreements to protect company interests and minimize legal exposure.
  • Oversee vendor and supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, cost optimization, and contract compliance monitoring.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, business cases, and financial analyses to senior leadership and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure all contracts and commercial activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company governance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, finance, operations, and sales to align commercial objectives with organizational goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices to inform commercial strategy and contract terms.
  • Manage commercial budgets, pricing strategies, and cost structures to achieve financial targets and improve margins.
  • Normally receives general direction on strategic initiatives and operates with considerable autonomy on complex commercial matters.
  • Demonstrates advanced expertise in commercial management and contract law with proven ability to handle complex, multi-faceted negotiations.

**Qualifications:**

**Required:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Commerce, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in commercial management, contract management, or related roles
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience working in Saudi Arabia or GCC region, with demonstrated understanding of local business practices, regulatory environment, and cultural dynamics
  • Proven expertise in commercial contract negotiation, drafting, and management across multiple business sectors
  • Advanced knowledge of contract law, commercial agreements, and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-party negotiations with favorable outcomes
  • Strong proficiency in vendor and supplier relationship management, including performance evaluation and cost optimization
  • Proven ability to develop and implement commercial strategies that drive profitability and competitive advantage
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies for commercial agreements
  • Excellent financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage commercial budgets, pricing strategies, and cost structures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to prepare comprehensive business cases and financial analyses
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite

**Preferred:**

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Law/Commercial Management)
  • Professional certification in contract management (NCMA, IACCM, or equivalent)
  • Experience in international commercial transactions and cross-border agreements
  • Familiarity with GCC-specific commercial regulations and Saudization requirements
  • Background in legal compliance and governance frameworks
  • Experience in multiple industry sectors (construction, energy, manufacturing, or services)
