Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilledBusiness Systems Analyst to work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand business needs, analyze processes, define requirements, and support the delivery of effective business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Functional Analysis

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
• Create user stories, functional requirements, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze current and future-state processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into clear and actionable functional requirements.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define effective technology solutions.
• Analyze system functionality, workflows, integrations, and system dependencies.
• Support analysis of existing and legacy systems and modernization initiatives.

Implementation Support

• Support production releases, issue investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with technical teams to resolve production and business-impacting issues.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation

• Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams.
• Communicate requirements, risks, dependencies, and project status effectively.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across different business functions.
• Maintain requirements, process documentation, functional specifications, and other project artifacts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, banking, payments, or other enterprise domains is preferred.
• Experience with system implementations, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements and work effectively with both business and technology teams.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Excel, or similar business analysis tools.
