Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilledSenior Backend Java Developer with strong experience in enterprise application development, backend services, and API engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise inJava, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, and Agile development practices.

This role requires strong collaboration skills, experience in iterative software delivery, and the ability to build scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs
• Deliver features aligned with prioritized product backlog items
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including:
  • Sprint planning
  • Story sizing
  • Estimation
  • Retrospectives
• Create automated tests and validate functionality against acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, infrastructure, and security teams
• Support production readiness, troubleshooting, and platform improvements
• Contribute to scalable and secure backend solution architecture
• Maintain coding standards and development best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Strong expertise inJava development for enterprise applications
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Spring Boot
  • RESTful API development
  • PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Experience working inAgile/Scrum environments
• Experience with:
  • Unit testing
  • Test automation
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Strong understanding of iterative software delivery methodologies
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience withKotlin and/or Groovy
• Experience supporting:
  • Supply Chain platforms
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Order Management Systems (OMS)
• Experience withManhattan Associates platforms (WMS, WMOS, Active, OMS preferred)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices
• Exposure to cloud-native application development
