Job Summary

We are looking for a skilledSenior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in backend development, database design, distributed systems, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases.

• Analyze system performance and troubleshoot production issues.

• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.

• Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams.

• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

• Design solutions for scalability, reliability, and high availability.

• Write unit, integration, and automated tests.

• Monitor applications and resolve performance and reliability issues.

• Contribute to architecture and technology decisions.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and technical discussions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development.

• Strong proficiency inJava, Python, Node.js, or similar backend technologies.

• Strong knowledge ofREST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Experience withSQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Experience withNoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with cloud platforms such asAWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT.

• Experience with unit testing and integration testing.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing high-scale distributed systems.

• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.

• Experience with event-driven architecture.

• Familiarity with system observability and monitoring tools.

• Experience with performance optimization and load testing.

• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
