We are seeking a combination of backend/full-stack engineers (with a strong backend focus) and data migration specialists who can support both analysis and execution activities.
Key qualifications:
- Strong data analysis and discovery skills.
- Experience with historical data migration, and data model transformation.
- Experience building migration utilities, automation tools and data processing solutions.
- Strong backend development skills (Java, micro-services, springboot), with the ability to design and build applications and services supporting migration efforts.
- Experience working with cloud platforms and modern data architectures.
- Experience working with mainframe systems, DB2 databases, and legacy applications.
- Experience migrating data from legacy platforms to modern cloud-based data platforms (eg., BigQuery, AlloyDB, Postgres or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development, analysis or migration tools to accelerate migration efforts.
- Experience evaluating and utilizing commercial or open-source migration tools and frameworks
- Ability to analyze existing business processes, reports and data assets and translate findings into migration requirements and technical solutions.
- Full-stack development experience to support both migration tooling and application modernization efforts.
