Senior Automation Tester in JavaScript

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain adaptable automated testing systems that satisfy both organizational priorities and technical requirements
• Collaborate with different delivery functions to ensure work reaches completion within planned timeframes and quality targets
• Take an active role in architecture discussions by contributing recommendations on automation strategy and test coverage
• Provide constructive reviews of teammate test scripts to reinforce reliable coding and testing conventions
• Resolve complex technical defects affecting automated testing activities across the full lifecycle
• Assist junior colleagues in developing their testing expertise through mentoring and everyday technical support
• Participate in project planning by defining the required work, clarifying scope, and estimating time needs
• Assess emerging technologies and incorporate suitable approaches into daily automation testing routines
• Maintain accessible documentation for test workflows and key technical decisions to support ongoing assurance efforts
• Work in partnership with stakeholders to define success measures and verify that delivered work meets agreed requirements

Requirements

• Relevant professional experience of three years or more in software testing, QA automation, or a related role
• Proficiency in JavaScript for producing reliable automation scripts and managing their ongoing improvement
• Hands-on experience using Playwright and other JavaScript web UI testing tools to validate customer-facing features
• Practical understanding of API and web service test automation for checking the stability of backend systems
• Familiarity with version control practices for preserving an accurate history of changes to test code
• Solid framework-architecture knowledge for constructing automation solutions that are reusable, scalable, and maintainable
• Experience with JavaScript-based BDD frameworks for automating behavior-oriented validation cases
• Understanding of AI-driven tools and concepts that can be leveraged to enhance testing effectiveness
• Fluent written and verbal English at B2 level or higher
