Senior Associate, L&E Litigation - New York

MHS is seeking an experienced attorney with 4โ7+ years of litigation experience to join our New York employment litigation defense team. Employment law experience is strongly preferred. This role is designed for an attorney who is prepared to take significant responsibility for matters, work directly with clients on litigation strategy, and play an active role in defending single-plaintiff employment lawsuits and administrative matters.ย The ideal candidate will have substantial civil litigation experience, including managing discovery, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, participating in hearings and mediations, and handling matters before courts and administrative agencies. The attorney will have meaningful day-to-day responsibility for assigned cases and regular interaction with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and governmental agencies.
Candidates should have strong legal writing and analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage sophisticated assignments while collaborating with partners and other members of the litigation team. Prior experience defending employment claims is strongly preferred, including matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other workplace disputes.

Salary Range: $180,000-$220,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications
- JD degree from an ABA accredited law school
- 4-7+ years of litigation experience, employment law background strongly preferred
- Active New York Bar admission required, additional bar admissions a plus
- Understanding of current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in all aspects of federal and state court litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and hearing and trial experience
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
