This positionrequires onsite attendance 5 days per week at our Division Office located inWestborough, Massachusetts.
Oversees team and supports strategic plan initiatives across the business. Establishes best practices, ensures operational excellence in plan production, and drives continuous improvement in quality and efficiency. Partners with leadership to align architectural strategy with business objectives and future product needs.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Lead strategic architectural initiatives that improve plan quality, efficiency, and business alignment.
- Manage architectural needs for the business, ensuring designs support livability, cost, and constructability goals.
- Manage and coordinate internal drafting teams, external consultants, and outside production partners.
- Establish and maintain best practices, drafting standards, and process frameworks for plan production.
- Ensure operational excellence across all architectural workflows.
- Partner with leadership to align architectural strategy with business objectives and future product needs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide oversight for high-impact plan decisions involving livability, cost, constructability, and customer experience.
- Support long-range planning for architectural resources, consultant capacity, and project forecasting.
- Facilitate cross-market collaboration to share knowledge, resolve recurring issues, and implement standardized solutions.
- Represent architecture in leadership reviews, strategic planning sessions, and cross-department initiatives.
- Develop, coach, and mentor subordinates, creating clear growth paths and ensuring strong team performance.
- Oversee annual architectural budget updates and forecasting for respective market.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 4-6 years prior relevant experience.
Required Skills
- Related Functional Experience: Minimum 7 or more years Architecture or Construction experience.
- Personnel management and team leadership expertise.
- Project management expertise.
- Consultant management expertise.
- Budgeting expertise.
- Construction Document development expertise.
- Comprehensive knowledge of residential construction techniques, building materials, building codes as well as technical and procedural knowledge of activities related to home building construction.
- Comprehensive knowledge of structural elements, product installation means and methods, value engineering, and principles and practices.
- Effective communication and organization skills.
- General understanding of ACAD is required, drafting experience is preferred.
Pay Information
$134,000 - $165,000 annually.
Hired applicant will be eligible to receive a bonus in the amount of approximately $28,140 - $37,950 annually.
Required Licensing, Registration and/or Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License because driving is an essential function of this position.
