HOURS: Full-time

What you’ll be doing
This is an opportunity to join Markets Middle Office Trade Controls and help protect trade integrity and revenue through effective post-execution controls.
You’ll lead and oversee intraday trade date (T+0) reconciliations and integrity checks, investigating exceptions and working with Front Office and support teams to achieve timely, well-evidenced resolutions.
You’ll perform and oversee reconciliations across traded products including derivatives, foreign exchange, money markets, financial futures, bonds and repurchase agreements (repos). You’ll use your product, trade lifecycle and process knowledge to investigate reconciliation breaks and control exceptions, understand their root causes and business impacts, and determine appropriate remediation.
Working across trading platforms, workflow tools, reference data and reconciliation systems, you’ll interrogate trade and reconciliation data, identify data-quality or system issues and support the resolution of complex or recurring exceptions.
You’ll work closely with Front Office, Operations, Risk, Technology and Change teams to resolve issues and support improvements to processes, platforms and controls. You’ll maintain comprehensive audit trails and exception records, documenting root-cause analysis, control impact assessments, remediation actions and supporting evidence.
You’ll also provide control oversight and assurance by reviewing completed reconciliations and exception decisions, constructively challenging where evidence or outcomes are not sufficiently clear. By identifying trends and control gaps, you’ll recommend practical improvements that strengthen prevention, detection, evidence and ownership across Markets Operations.
You may also contribute to change, automation and transformation activity, helping to ensure operational control requirements and downstream impacts are understood and considered.
Why join us?
We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone, make change happen and challenge the status quo.
