Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Overview

The Senior Analyst, Global People ZBB (Zero-Based Budgeting) is a key finance/HR cross-functional role based in Chicago, IL (1-year contract with potential to convert to FTE). This position supports, builds, and executes budgetary commitments within the Human Resources department by working between Finance and HR to optimize and streamline People Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

Job Specifications

Educational & Professional Requirements:
  • Background in Accounting, Finance, or Business Professional fields.
  • Experience with FP&A models, Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB), and global financial processes.
Top Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Workday Adaptive Planning: Hands-on experience maintaining tools/models (e.g., Checkbook Model for headcount management and forecasting) within Adaptive Planning.
  • Financial Modeling & Planning: Ability to build Annual Operating Plan (AOP) models and optimize bonus payout models (PBP).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to partner across Global Compensation, Global Rewards Leadership, and executive stakeholders (including the Chief People Officer).
  • Reporting & Data Standardization: Experience driving key reporting, ad-hoc financial analysis, and data standardization across global systems.
Primary Accountabilities & Deliverables:
  • Build the AOP model and process for all global key stakeholders.
  • Maintain the Checkbook Model within Workday Adaptive Planning and implement continuous enhancements.
  • Partner with the Global Compensation team to refine the Performance Based Plan (PBP) Bonus Payout model in Adaptive Planning.
  • Create and maintain essential departmental reporting within Adaptive Planning.
  • Lead worldwide data and process standardization initiatives across tools and systems.
  • Collaborate with the Global Rewards Leadership Team and Chief People Officer to prepare their AOPs.
  • Prepare the quarterly Management Representation Letter for the Chief People Officer.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to drive efficiency and uncover optimization opportunities.
Interview & Hiring Process Details:
  • Interview Format: Panel video interview (3 people: one HR, one hiring manager, one team member).
  • Contract Term: 1-year contract from start date (open to FTE conversion option).
