Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze data to produce rate adjustment proposals, reserve estimates, or economic capital models.
- Provide actuarial support for filings with state insurance departments.
- Implement new rates and rating plans, utilizing existing procedures and recommending improvements where appropriate.
- Analyze data to develop and propose strategic solutions for actuarial or product line management.
- Conduct data research and analysis for special, defined-scope projects.
- Serve as the Property/Casualty Actuarial representative on assigned project committees.
- Actively pursue a Casualty Actuarial Society designation (at least through the ACAS level) and maintain appropriate Continuing Education credits to preserve actuarial credentials.
- Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of related experience, education, and training.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Property/Casualty Insurance industry is required.
- Credentials: Most senior-level candidates/incumbents have completed the coursework to attain their ACAS credential and are currently working towards fulfilling their FCAS requirements.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior Auto and Home pricing experience, though applicants with other property/casualty backgrounds will be fully considered.
