Join Aprio'sClient Accounting &Advisory Servicesteam and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio Advisory Group, LLC is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for aSenior Associate,to join their dynamic team.  The Senior Accounting Associate – Real Estate acts as the primary point of contact for clients on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for ensuring that all deliverables outlined in the MSA’s are met. Client Leads are highly client-facing, proactive, and spend the majority of their time focused on client interaction to provide a hands-on white glove level of service to the clients we serve. This is a very hands-on role within a highly collaborative, fast-paced, fast-growing, team-based delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with global team on a daily basis to foster a highly collaborative and productive team environmentÂ
- Acts as primary point of contact for clientsÂ
- Completes ad hoc projects for clients as needed that require “rolling up your sleeves” and completing tasks for clientsÂ
- Completes review of draft work papers and financials provided by global team and provides review notes back to the teamÂ
- Perform variance analysis and deliver actionable commentary for client reviewÂ
- Ensures timely completion of client deliverables outlined in MSA’s, including sending monthly financial reporting packs to clientsÂ
- Manage rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, lease schedules, and tenant ledgersÂ
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable for property operationsÂ
- Utilize property management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI) alongside CAS platformsÂ
- Assist clients during annual audits and coordinate with external auditorsÂ
- Ensures sound awareness of the client deliverables and manages scope creepÂ
- Highly client facing – prioritizes client contact over emailsÂ
- Focuses on providing proactive advice and notifications to clients throughout the monthÂ
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development initiativesÂ
- Demonstrates understanding of Aprio services so that organic growth opportunities for services are identifiedÂ
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor of Accounting, CPA preferredÂ
- Industry-specific experience: 4+ years of property accounting experience, ideally in a client service environmentÂ
- Delivers month-end financials and advisory work to clientsÂ
- Proficient in knowledge of US GAAP, and strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles and property management systemsÂ
- Fosters an environment of continuous learning, seeking to become technically strong within the segment you serveÂ
- Positive, highly professional attitude and desire to work within a global teamÂ
