Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking aSenior Accountant to support the accounting team with month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and accounts payable oversight. This role will have responsibility for complex reconciliations, including investment accounts, bank accounts, and credit cards, while also supporting the AP process through invoice review and approvals.
Responsibilities

Performmonth-end account reconciliations and support the monthly close process.
Prepare and postjournal entries.
Reconcileinvestment accounts, including researching and resolving discrepancies.
Performbank and credit card reconciliations.
Support theaccounts payable process, including reviewing and approving AP transactions.
Assist with accounting activity and workflow withinBill.com.
Maintain accurate financial records inSage Intacct.
Provide documentation and schedules for theannual audit.
Assist with preparation and support related to the organization'sForm 990.
Research and resolve account discrepancies and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.
Provide additional accounting support as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Prior accounting experience with a strong understanding ofmonth-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Sage Intacct experience required.
Bill.com experience preferred.
Experience withaccounts payable and AP approvals.
Experience performingbank and credit card reconciliations.
Experience withinvestment account reconciliations strongly preferred.
Experience supportingaudits and Form 990 preparation is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
