The Senior Accountant – Corporate Accounting is responsible for various aspects of the consolidation process, including month-end and quarter-end close, validation and analysis of reported results, and supporting the internal financial reporting and analysis needs for various stakeholders. You will be reporting directly to the Manager – Corporate Accounting. The position is based in our Atlanta, GA office and a hybrid work arrangement provides the opportunity to interact with senior leadership members on a regular basis. Responsibilities:
- Corporate Support consolidation and financial analysis
- Corporate Support forecasting and budgeting
- Accounting for Acquisitions and divestitures
- The accounting for several Corporate related areas including:
o Reserves
o Treasury and cash activity
o Borrowings
- Performing detailed review and analysis monthly to help ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Company’s consolidated financial statements.
- Maintaining the Company’s account reconciliation policy and monitoring compliance with the policy.
- Liaising with both internal and external auditors to respond to information requests and resolve issues throughout the audit cycle.
Skills and experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA is preferred but not required
- At least 3 years of experience working in a public company or corporate accounting environment
- Public accounting experience is preferred
- Experience with the financial statement consolidation process
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Excel, and a working knowledge of ERP systems (OneStream experience is preferred)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented professional who is comfortable working with team members in various functional areas (e.g., financial systems, finance, tax, treasury, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
