Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of InCommunity’s month end closing process and related journal entries and account reconciliations, as well as serving as a lead resource and project manager for financial audits. This position will provide leadership and support to other members of the finance team, and work directly with the Controller and CFO on financial statement preparation and analysis.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledgerstructure.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for allaccounts.
- Create and post to GL all payroll anddepartment allocation entries.
- Working with Controller and CFO to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close and audit.
- Review GL on monthly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy of accountsbalances.
- Responsible for payroll entries, payroll-related accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, allocations, miscellaneous deposits, and Due To/ Due From entries for all entities.
- Monitor the financial and accounting procedures and performance of thecompany.
- Supports budget and forecastingactivities.
- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Maintain accounting template for 401KPlan.
- Reconciliation of AR and AP for allentities.
- Provide supervision and support to Accountingdepartment
- Support Controller, CFO and CEO with research, special projects and workflow processimprovements.
- Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans.
- Assist the Controller and CFO with board and finance committeepresentations.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Education, Certifications & Experience Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Arts in Accounting or a minimum of 5+years comparableexperience.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises other members of the Finance team as needed and directed by the Controller and CFO.
