Senior Accountant

A business advisory firm is seeking to recruit anAccounting Senior to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accounting services to a portfolio of clients, supervising junior team members, and ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and on time. You will work closely with management and clients, contributing to the smooth running of the team and maintaining high standards of service.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €35K.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide accounting services to clients, liaising with them and handling various requests in a timely manner

• Supervise and coach junior accountants, including reviewing their deliverables

• Responsible for planning of deliverables of client portfolio, able to work on own initiative, prioritise own work, and meet deadlines

• Report to management with portfolio updates and assist in monitoring team economics

• Preparation of accountancy files for audit and liaising with client auditors

• Preparation of management accounts in accordance with relevant accounting frameworks

• Assistance with presenting management accounts to clients

• Preparation and submission of clients' VAT Returns and Recap Declarations

Skills & Experience

• Candidates must be fully qualified accountants

• Candidates must have a minimum of three years of local work experience in a similar role

• Familiarity with payroll processes will be considered an asset

• Foundational knowledge of VAT regulations is required

• Applicants must have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and professionally

• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams is essential

• Proficiency in standard office software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) is required

• Applicants must have excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
