Security Analyst - Madison, WI - Contract - $30-40 Per HR

Description

This position is responsible for developing and managing an IT Security Program in a regional government setting. The role is based in the Madison, WI area and offers a hybrid work environment. The contract extends until mid-2027 with a potential for extension. The role involves implementing security measures, conducting risk assessments, and managing incident responses using various security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage security tools for endpoint protection and vulnerability management.
• Perform IT security risk assessments and implement remediation strategies.
• Coordinate with teams to implement new technologies and address security issues.
• Monitor security dashboards and respond to incidents.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in IT Security.
• Expert knowledge in endpoint protection administration.
• Expert knowledge in vulnerability management administration.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• 1 year of experience with a relevant security certification.
