We are pleased to share an opportunity for aMicrosoft Defender for Endpoint / Cybersecurity Specialist position. Based on your experience in SOC operations, EDR, SIEM, incident response, and Microsoft security technologies, your profile appears well aligned with the requirement. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring and investigating security incidents, performing threat hunting, correlating security events across multiple data sources, developing detections, and supporting incident response and security operations.
Role: Cybersecurity Specialist / SOC Analyst – Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and investigate endpoint security alerts usingMicrosoft Defender and EDR solutions.
- PerformL1/L2 incident triage, investigation, containment, and remediation.
- Analyze endpoint detections, process activity, command-line execution, malware behavior, and suspicious activities.
- PerformIOC searches across endpoints and investigate potential compromises.
- Isolate affected endpoints and block malicious files, hashes, and indicators as required.
- Conduct threat hunting and security investigations usingMicrosoft Defender, Cortex XDR, Carbon Black, FireEye HX, and CrowdStrike.
- Monitor and investigate security events throughMicrosoft Sentinel, Splunk, and other SIEM platforms.
- Analyze phishing, email security, DLP, vulnerability, and network security alerts.
- Support incident response activities and document findings, evidence, and remediation actions.
- Work with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams for vulnerability remediation and security improvements.
- Maintain security reports, health checklists, dashboards, and SLA/KPI requirements.
