Securities Litigation Associate Attorney (4th–6th Year)
About the Role
Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with a premier litigation practice, is seeking a Securities Litigation Associate Attorney (4th–6th year) to join its Business & Securities Litigation group in Palo Alto.
This role is ideal for a mid-level litigation associate with substantial experience handling sophisticated securities disputes, including securities class actions, shareholder derivative litigation, and corporate governance matters. Associates in this practice work on high-profile disputes for both U.S. and international clients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate combines strong litigation fundamentals with excellent writing skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in:

Securities class actions

Shareholder derivative actions

Shareholder demands and corporate governance disputes

Draft and argue substantive motions with strong emphasis on:

Motions to dismiss in securities class actions

Federal court briefing

Conduct legal research and case analysis related to federal and state securities laws

Manage discovery, witness preparation, and litigation strategy support

Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams on sophisticated securities matters

Supervise and mentor junior associates and litigation staff where appropriate

Manage multiple high-level litigation matters simultaneously while maintaining exceptional work quality
Required Qualifications

4–6 years of significant litigation experience in:

Securities litigation

Shareholder litigation

Corporate governance disputes

Strong experience with:

Motions to dismiss

Federal court litigation

Excellent drafting and written advocacy skills

Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school

Active California Bar admission required
