PGS Worldwide is seekingSecret-Cleared GNC Engineers – Missile Guidance & Autopilot in Chandler, Arizona for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will support advanced missile and interceptor development through guidance algorithm design, autopilot development, modeling, simulation, and control-system analysis.

Required Skills

  • Experience designing, tuning, implementing, and testing guidance algorithms and autopilot parameters for guided missiles and/or interceptors.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing missile autopilot systems.
  • Strong understanding of missile control systems, including classical and modern control theory.
  • Experience with multiple control-system architectures and linear stability analysis.
  • Proficiency creating and maintaining analysis tools usingC++, MATLAB, and Python.
  • Proficiency developing C++ software in a Linux environment.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB and Python toolchains.
  • Experience with Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) concepts and applications.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%.
  • Active U.S. GovernmentSecret clearance required.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience developing GNC algorithms for hypersonic missile systems.
  • Experience with the AEGIS weapon system.
  • Experience with infrared discrimination and tracking.
  • Familiarity with state-estimation and state-propagation techniques.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, implement, verify, and test guidance, navigation, and control algorithms and software.
  • Develop and maintain simulation and analysis tools supporting missile and interceptor systems.
  • Design and tune guidance algorithms and autopilot parameters.
  • Develop and evaluate control laws for guided missile applications.
  • Perform stability and performance analysis across multiple control-system architectures.
  • Create and maintain analytical tools using C++, MATLAB, and Python.
  • Support navigation functions involving statistical processing of measured data and state information.
  • Develop guidance equations used to achieve required position, orientation, and trajectory objectives.
  • Define and analyze control-system hardware and software requirements.
  • Support advanced hypersonic interceptor development and related GNC analysis.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Full-time onsite in Chandler, Arizona.
  • 9/80A schedule.
  • Approximately 10% travel may be required.

Pay

  • $115.90 per hour.
