Secret-Cleared Embedded Software Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seekingSecret-Cleared Embedded Software Engineers in Orlando, Florida for one-year onsite contract-to-hire roles supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will develop and integrate real-time embedded software using C/C++ and Linux-based real-time operating environments running on multicore processors.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Active Secret clearance required, with the most recent investigation completed within the last 5 years.
• 5+ years ofC/C++ embedded real-time software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing software inLinux or real-time operating system environments.
• Experience developing embedded software formulticore processors.
• 5+ years of hands-onsoftware/firmware integration experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience usingGitLab and Bitbucket.
• Strong software troubleshooting and integration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of theYocto operating system.
• Experience withData Distribution Service (DDS) middleware.
• Experience developing software for aerospace, defense, avionics, or other high-reliability embedded systems.
• Experience with real-time software architectures and hardware/software interfaces.

What You’ll Do

• Develop real-time embedded software using C and C++.
• Develop and support Linux-based software running on multicore processors.
• Perform software and firmware integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve embedded software and integration issues.
• Support development, integration, test, and verification activities.
• Work within Agile development teams using Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.
• Manage source code and development activities using GitLab and Bitbucket.
• Support integration of embedded software with hardware, firmware, and other system components.
• Contribute to software design, implementation, debugging, and technical reviews.
• Support delivery of reliable software for complex aerospace and defense systems.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Full-time onsite in Orlando, Florida.
• 1st Shift.
• 4/10A schedule.

Pay

• $87.50 per hour.
• Overtime eligible.
