This position is responsible for:
Â
Recruits, trains, coordinates, and monitors the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers, ensuring adequate staffing to meet location needs. Maintains records and prepares reports relating to kettle operations, fundraising activities, volunteer participation, and special events..
Â
Key Responsibilities:
Â
- Interviews, recruits, screens, and selects bell-ringing employees and volunteers, ensuring all kettle locations are appropriately staffed.
- Maintains ongoing communication with staff and volunteers, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Recognizes volunteer and employee contributions through correspondence, phone calls, and personal interaction.
- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with volunteers and staff.
- Plans, schedules, assigns, and monitors the work of staff and volunteers.
- Provides instruction regarding proper methods, procedures, and Salvation Army policies.
- Reviews work in progress and upon completion to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Maintains current databases and records related to daily kettle income and volunteer participation.
- Prepares reports regarding the status and operation of the kettle program.
- Provides volunteers and staff with documentation of hours worked.
- Assists with counting, recording, and depositing kettle funds.
- Drives Salvation Army vehicles to deliver and collect kettles, supplies, and related materials.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Â
- Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Work is generally performed in a seated position with occasional standing and walking. Extensive driving may be required, representing approximately 50–75% of work time. Requires occasional lifting and carrying of equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

- Work is performed both in the office and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Appropriate seasonal attire and weather-related precautions are necessary to remain safe and comfortable while performing assigned duties.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
- High School diploma or G.E.DAND
Â
- One year of experience working with kettle fundraising programs preferred;OR
Â
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications:
Valid State Drivers License Required.
