The Opportunity:  

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for aCook2.  

Essential function of the job & Qualifications:  

• A Cook is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. From a fluffy omelet at three in the morning to an elaborate banquet, our kitchens are always in overdrive, meeting the demands ofall of thehotels Food and Beverage operations. 

• The Cook prepares breakfast,lunch and dinner per guest orders from all outletsin accordance with production requirements and quality standards whilemaintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. The Kitchen presentsand endlessamount of opportunitiesof learning and growth for line cook positions of all levels. 

• Open schedulerequired, including weekends and holidays 

• Constant standingandactively moving aroundthroughoutshift,and the ability tolift up to 70lbs. 

• Adequate understanding of kitchen hygiene,rotating stock, and no food waste mentality isa must. 

• Understanding cold room temperatures, cold room hierarchyknowledge is essential 

• Food safety certification is preferred  

• Must be able to work in afast-paced environment 

• We are looking for an individual who is passionate about cuisine! 

• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic arerequired in this position. 

• The line cook works together with other team memberson a daily basis to ensure a flawlessly executed final product and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors is required.  

• Excellent communication skills are essential. 

• The cook position isrequired tooperate, maintain andproperly clean a deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, meat and cheese slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grillincluding other not mentioned kitchen smallsrequired tofull fill the days tasks 

• Proficient knife skills are alsorequired. 

• Candidate would have a combination of a culinary degree and work experience orequivalent work experience in afull-service fine dining restaurant, if no culinary degree has been obtained. 

• Previous luxury hospitality culinary experience preferred 

• Requires reading, writing and oralproficiency in the English language. 

• Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America
