SDET - Python - (Tester)

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to create effective test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Conduct API testing and validation using REST services and related tools.
• Validate application data and perform database testing using SQL.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects through the defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure quality deliverables.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding and automation standards.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
• Contribute to framework enhancements and automation best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / SDET roles.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as PyTest, Robot Framework, or similar tools.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or other web automation tools.
• Strong experience in API testing using Postman, Requests, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and web services.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC/STLC processes.
• Strong debugging, defect analysis, and problem-solving skills.
