Description:
Automation test Engineer w/SQL
Primary Responsibilities
Contribute expertise in the application of different software development and testing methodologies, tools, and technologies
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests across the delivery lifecycle
Contribute to the design of the automation framework and enhancement
Maintain traceability from user stories through test cases to automated scripts
Identify dependencies, define, and communicate environmental and data requirements
Research and evaluate technical solutions consistent with DTCC technology standards
Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
Partner with team members to understand software requirements and design automated tests that validate the functionality while considering privacy and security requirements
Create applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional requirements
Work with peers to mature ways of working to implement and maintain continuous testing within the software delivery processes and integrate automated test with CI/CD pipeline
Collaborate with internal and external teams on development, testing, troubleshooting, and improve overall software quality
Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in software testing, test automation, or SDET roles
Tools & Platforms
Experience with AWS cloud services
Proficiency with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
Talent Needed for Success
Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Jasmine)
Hands-on experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation and scripting
Advanced experience with SQL and database testing
Expertise in ETL testing and automation
Experience with front-end and back-end testing using Java and Selenium
Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts
Experience testing Business Intelligence platforms such as Power BI or AWS QuickSight (preferred)
Experience with Snowflake data warehouse is an added advantage
Understanding of smoke, functional, regression, and non–black box testing techniques
