Job Description: Scrum Master
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Scrum Master to support Agile teams in delivering high-quality business value. The Junior Scrum Master will work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams to facilitate Agile ceremonies, help remove impediments, promote Agile best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to build their Agile leadership and coaching capabilities while supporting team effectiveness and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Agile Facilitation
• Facilitate and coordinate Agile ceremonies, including:
o Daily Stand-ups
o Sprint Planning
o Backlog Refinement
o Sprint Reviews/Demos
o Sprint Retrospectives
• Ensure meetings are effective, time-boxed, and focused on achieving desired outcomes.
• Support preparation for larger Agile events such as PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.

Team Support & Servant Leadership
• Assist teams in removing blockers and escalating impediments when necessary.
• Promote team collaboration, transparency, and self-organization.
• Encourage continuous improvement and Agile ways of working.
• Build positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Agile Coaching
• Coach team members on Scrum principles, Agile values, and best practices.
• Help teams understand and follow agreed Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
• Support Agile maturity growth through retrospectives and improvement initiatives.

Backlog & Delivery Support
• Work closely with Product Owners to maintain a healthy backlog.
• Help track sprint goals, commitments, risks, and dependencies.
• Ensure work items are updated and visible in Agile management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Support capacity planning and sprint readiness activities.

Metrics & Reporting
• Monitor and report Agile delivery metrics, including:
o Velocity
o Sprint progress
o Team health indicators
o Flow metrics
• Assist in maintaining Agile dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
• Support data-driven decision making within the team.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Scrum, Agile delivery, project coordination, business analysis, or software development.
• Basic understanding of Agile and Scrum principles.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM-I, or SAFe Scrum Master certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Exposure to Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Rally.
• Knowledge of SAFe framework and Agile metrics.
• Experience participating in Agile projects or software delivery teams.
