Job Title: Scrum Master / Agile Release Train (ART) Coach

Job Details

  • Location: Raritan, New Jersey (NJ), USA

  • Duration: 6 months

  • Experience Required: 8–10 years

  • Essential Skills: Scrum Master, TCS MasterCraft DevPlus Scrum Management

  • Additional Skills: TCS MasterCraft DataPlus – Quality Management Edition, Project Management

  • Industry Experience: Life Sciences / CPG

  • Work Arrangement: Onsite at least 3 days per week

  • Certification: Scrum Master certification preferred

  • Mandatory Requirement: GxP experience

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Agile and Scrum Management

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.

  • Manage and coordinate Scrum processes across the Scrum Team and collaborate with other Scrum Masters.

  • Facilitate Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.

  • Ensure meetings are productive, time-boxed, and focused on achieving sprint objectives.

  • Coach teams on Agile and Scrum practices to improve delivery efficiency and team performance.

  • Promote Agile best practices and encourage a culture of collaboration, learning, and experimentation.

  • Help teams adapt Agile practices to customer-specific ways of working, especially for GxP-validated systems.

2. Agile Release Train (ART) Support

  • Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events and processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Act as a servant leader, Chief Scrum Master, and coach for the ART.

  • Support teams in delivering business value and driving continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, team members, and external partners.

  • Facilitate feature and capability estimation and support economic decision-making at the value stream and portfolio levels.

  • Help align team commitments with release objectives and delivery timelines.

3. Stakeholder and Team Management

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Product Owners, development teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Facilitate discussions, workshops, and decision-making sessions.

  • Help teams reach consensus and resolve conflicts effectively.

  • Coach team members on Agile practices and support their professional development.

  • Coordinate with other Scrum Masters to manage dependencies and ensure smooth delivery.

  • Maintain team focus, accountability, and alignment with project goals.

4. Sprint Planning and Delivery Management

  • Manage and refine the product backlog in collaboration with Product Owners.

  • Support user story creation, refinement, prioritization, and acceptance criteria definition.

  • Develop practical project plans and perform capacity planning.

  • Track sprint commitments, deliverables, and timelines to ensure timely product delivery.

  • Support Agile engineering practices, DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Testing.

  • Monitor team progress and identify opportunities to improve delivery predictability.

5. Risk and Impediment Management

  • Identify potential risks, dependencies, and impediments that may affect project delivery.

  • Help Scrum Teams resolve blockers and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Develop mitigation strategies to address delivery risks.

  • Ensure teams remain focused on sprint goals and committed deliverables.

  • Facilitate conflict resolution and support effective collaboration across teams.

6. Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement

  • Track and analyze Agile metrics, including velocity, burndown charts, and sprint performance.

  • Prepare transparent progress reports for stakeholders and leadership.

  • Use performance data to identify bottlenecks and improve team efficiency.

  • Facilitate Sprint Retrospectives and implement continuous improvement actions.

  • Encourage accountability, transparency, and a culture of continuous learning.

7. GxP and Life Sciences Compliance

  • Apply Agile practices within GxP-regulated and validated system environments.

  • Ensure Agile processes align with customer requirements and compliance standards.

  • Support project delivery in the Life Sciences / CPG industry.

  • Adapt Scrum ceremonies, documentation, and delivery practices to validated system requirements.

  • Maintain organized project documentation and support quality management processes.

Experience Required

  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in Scrum Management, Agile delivery, and project coordination.

  • Strong experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and coaching Agile teams.

  • Experience supporting ART processes, stakeholder management, and cross-team dependencies.

  • Mandatory hands-on experience working with GxP-regulated or validated systems.

  • Experience in Life Sciences / CPG environments.

  • Ability to work onsite in Raritan, NJ, at least 3 days per week.
