Scrum Master

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

• Strong experience as Scrum Master with excellent communication, organizational, and Jira skills
• Keep Agile boards updated, ensure Jira's have proper workflow and are in the Sprint, manage sprints.
• Run queries/reports for status of Jira, and ability to determine velocity of the coding separate from the testing.
• Fast learner and Technical Management skills to take in work requests from Client and assign based on established priorities
• Ability to understand priorities as conveyed by the Project Manager
• Ensure story points and estimated code completion dates are determined for every ira and are in the fields in the Jiras.
• Oversee the defect management across the developers, managing a flow back and forth between BA's and Developers or TQA and developers
• Ensure questions or required requirements changes are happening in a timely manner to resolve defects and communicate to the Product Owner and Project Manager when that is happening too slowly.
• Run two Scrums daily, one per development team. Cover the defects as part of those calls and not just taking in updates on stories.
• Provide updates on development status, estimated completion dates, and story points in the project plan
• Communicate any development slowness or slowness in resolving defects-monitor and report reduction in development velocity to the Product Owner and Project Manager
• Run a Sprint Retro after each Sprint and provide appropriate communication to the Project Manager and Product Owner about important workflow or process or support issues that should be addressed that came out of the Retro or other calls.
• Help with Operational Support in DEV and TEST environments. Monitor the various downstream chats to report support issues in the Fabric Support chat. As issues are resolved, drop updates in the downstream system chats.
• Help with Release Management, ensuring a documented list of as ready for deployment to communicate in release notes.

Coordinate timing of Releases

• Work with TQA on weekly release needs DEV to TEST and TEST to Preprod.
• Preprod Release will be managed by the Prod Ops Support team, however the details for what's in the release needs to be managed by this resource working with the Tech Lead.
• This includes Interfaces, common components, enhancements, and other technical work.
