Job Summary
We are seeking a creative, self-motived, and collaborative Contractor/Scientist 3 to join the Department of Immunology Discovery . The selected candidate will contribute to groundbreaking research focusing on understanding the role of intracellular pathways in immune cell phenotype, migration to tissues and inflammation . This is a hands-on laboratory position at the campus in South San Francisco. The successful candidate will implement and apply molecular biology, biochemistry, and cellular immunology to elucidate disease pathways and validate therapeutic targets. The role involves close collaborations with multidisciplinary teams across to achieve research objectives.
Must Have (Technical/Non-Technical Skills)
PhD (or equivalent) in immunology, cell biology, biochemistry or a related discipline
Isolating immune cells for downstream analysis.
Hands-on experience in cellular and molecular immunology techniques including primary cell isolation from human blood, in vitro immunological assays and multi-dimensional flow cytometry.
Excellent oral/written communication skills and creative problem-solving are required

Nice to have
Experience in cell engineering (e.g. protein overexpression methods, CRISPR-mediated KO techniques)
Hands-on experience in collecting tissues from rodents (colon, spleen, lymph nodes, bone marrow)
Analysis of data from single cell or bulk RNA-seq is preferred.
