Theroleof Cell labScientist'sprimaryresponsibilities involvessupportingthe design,conduct andoversight of development projects  tocreateand validate newbioassay methods, enhancingexisting methods and transferringclient-providedmethods.

Aday in theLife

•    Under limitedsupervision,the Scientist'sprimaryresponsibilities involvesupporting the design,conductandoversightof development  projectstocreateand validate newbioassaymethods,  enhancingexistingmethods,andtransferring client- providedmethods.

•   Collaboratingwithclients  on an ongoingbasis  with project updates.

•   Training / Mentoring juniorscientistsontheteam

•   Troubleshooting of instrumentsandmethod performance,and

•   Preparingtechnicalreportsand papers.

•    Hands-on quantitative andqualitative analysis using immunochemistry orcell- based assaytechniques.

•   WorkingwithinICH andUSPguidelinesandFDA GMPregulatoryrequirements.

EducationandExperience

•   Degreeor equivalent in LifescienceBiochemistry, immunology  orcellbiology

Insomecases,an equivalency,consistingof acombination ofappropriate education, trainingand/ordirectlyrelatedexperience,will beconsideredsufficient  for an individual tomeet therequirements oftherole.

•   2-3yearspreviousexperiencethatprovidesthe knowledge, skills,and abilities  to performthe job or equivalent andrelevantcombinationof education,training, &experience.

Knowledge, Skills,Abilities

•   Mammaliancellcultureexperience, bioassays

•   Flowcytometry,qPCR,ddPCR isan advantage

•   Experience indevelopingcellularand immunologically based assays

•   Ability to use MicrosoftExcel andWord toperformtasks

•   Proven ability intechnical writing skills

•   Proven problemsolving andtroubleshootingabilities

•   Timemanagement and projectmanagementskills

•   Goodwritten andoral communication skills

•    Ability towork in acollaborativework environment with a teamaswell asworkingoffown initiative.

•   Ability towork in afast-paced environmentrequiringfrequentchanges in priorities.

•   Ability totrain/mentor juniorstaff.
