Scheduler - Sr. Customer Service Rep

Salary Range:

Up to $21.99/hr

Introduction

This role serves as the primary point of contact for patients seeking access to academic medical centers and the Health Sciences Campus. The position involves remote work with occasional onsite requirements for equipment pickup, training, and other business needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of two years of experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare environment
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance
• Familiarity with various health insurance plans
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience using medical scheduling or practice management systems
• Bilingual candidates (Spanish, Chinese, or other languages) are highly preferred

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Answer, screen, and route incoming and outgoing telephone calls
• Respond to inquiries through phone, email, text, and web-based communication systems
• Schedule and confirm new and follow-up patient appointments
• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility
• Review insurance benefits and communicate estimated patient financial responsibility
• Perform accurate data entry while maintaining data integrity
• Route messages to providers and clinical staff using multiple communication platforms
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality
