Job Description
Position Title:ScaffoldForeman
Position Reports To:General Foremen
Position Summary
A Scaffold Foremanis responsible for directing personnel in the safe execution of thesite-specific scope of work items outlined in the contract documents. A Paint Foreman is also responsible for all associated paperwork and documentation as described in the Apache manuals and programs that apply.
Essential Functions
Read prints, specifications and both written and verbal instructions asrequired to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below.
Heavy lifting will often berequired to perform tasks.
Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb.
Must be able to perform required duties for extended periods of time inside confined spaces, often with breathing equipmentrequired.
Comply with all Apache and client safety policies and programs.
Maintain a reliable attendancerecord
Alwaysmaintains a clean and safe work environment
Able to wear all required PPE
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Minimum4yearsof scaffold experience
Minimum 1 year experience with Apache.
Demonstrate a broad knowledge of craft(s)utilized on projects they oversee.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ensure that all employees are working in a safe manner and environment. Field Foreman is to fulfill all requirements outlined in the Apache Safety Manual, site specific requirements, and customer specific requirements.
Initiate and manage the daily tailgate safety meeting and JHA.
Work with General Foreman and Superintendents to understand the scope of work and bring to their attention any potential problems and issues.Communication with the Project Manager should continueon a daily basis.
Ensure that all Apache and customer specifications, guidelines, and programs are being followed and documented asrequired.
Responsible for managing the field crew in the performance of daily tasks.
Ensure that work is being performed efficientlywith regard tomanpower, equipment,tools and consumables.
Responsible for compliance with all QC requirements which include thosestated in the contract, drawings, and specifications.
Complete all general site paperwork including timesheets and T&M sheets.
Responsible for onsite customer relations.
Attend job walks and bid meetings as requested by Apache management andprovide documentation necessary toprovide pricing information.
Responsible for the training of crew members. Foremanare expected to train prospective employees to become productive members of the crew and prepare them to become a Foreman.
Identify all company scaffold components and be able to apply manufacturers technical specifications to the construction, modification and dismantling of scaffold structures and work platforms
Measures boards, timbers, or plywood, using square, measuring tape, and ruler, and marks cutting lines on materials using pencil and scriber.
A thorough knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures for working around energized equipment.
Mustmaintain a positive attitude with crew members.
Ensuring good housekeeping isperformed throughout the entire project - inside & outside.
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.
