Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAS Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize SAS applications and data processing solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAS programming, data analysis, SQL, and data manipulation, with experience working on complex datasets in an enterprise environment. The candidate will collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other technical teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAS programs, macros, and data processing workflows.

• Write and optimize SAS code using Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, and DATA steps.

• Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis from multiple data sources.

• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize SAS programs for efficiency.

• Work with relational databases and write complex SQL queries for data retrieval and reporting.

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions as required.

• Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and technical teams to understand requirements.

• Document technical specifications, program logic, and development processes.

• Support testing, production deployments, and ongoing maintenance of SAS applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SAS programming and development.

• Proficiency in Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, and DATA step programming.

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

• Experience with data manipulation, ETL processes, and data validation.

• Knowledge of performance tuning and SAS program optimization.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking, financial services, insurance, or other data-intensive industries.

• Familiarity with SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS DI Studio, or SAS Viya.

• Experience with large datasets, data warehousing, and reporting solutions.

• Knowledge of regulatory reporting and data governance practices.
