Stratacent is looking for SAS AML Developer who will be responsible for the design, development, enhancement, testing, deployment, and optimization of transaction monitoring scenarios within the SAS Anti-Money Laundering (AML) platform. The role supports regulatory compliance initiatives by maintaining effective detection capabilities while minimizing false positives and improving investigative efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain AML transaction monitoring scenarios.
- Enhance existing scenarios to address emerging financial crime risks.
- Implement new detection strategies based on regulatory, business, and compliance requirements.
- Configure scenario parameters, thresholds, lookback periods, and alert criteria.
- Support customer segmentation and risk-based monitoring approaches.
- Analyse alert volumes and false-positive rates.
- Perform threshold calibration and scenario tuning.
- Support alert suppression and prioritization initiatives.
- Develop risk scoring methodologies supporting alert prioritization.
- Develop monitoring logic for: Structuring, Rapid movement of funds, High-risk geography activity, Funnel accounts, Velocity monitoring, large wire transfers, Dormant account activity, Trade-based money laundering, Behavioural anomaly detection
- Configure SAS AML 7.2 transaction monitoring components.
- Support alert generation workflows.
- Troubleshoot production scenario failures.
- Support release deployments and scenario migrations.
- Participate in defect resolution and root cause analysis.
- Develop test cases and validation plans.
- Execute UAT and production verification activities.
- Validate scenario performance and expected alert outcomes.
- Support model validation and regulatory reviews.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
- Linux and Oracle Database understanding is required which is the platform for the SAS application.
