Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Tax Technology Consultant with expertise in Vertex tax solutions, SAP ECC, and S/4HANA to join our global team. This role is critical for supporting the integration and optimization of Vertex within our existing ECC environment and its implementation across our S/4HANA landscape.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of indirect tax processes, global compliance requirements, and enterprise-level ERP systems, with a proven track record of delivering scalable tax technology solutions in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve incidents in Vertex tax solutions integrated with ECC, while supporting the deployment of SAP S/4HANA across global business units.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and external partners, to ensure seamless tax automation and compliance.
• Provide subject matter expertise on indirect tax, transaction tax, and global tax determination logic.
• SupportVertex implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and post-go-live support.
• Analyze and optimize existing tax processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• Stay current with global tax regulations and Vertex product updates to ensure ongoing system alignment.
• Supportinternal audits and external tax reporting requirements through system enhancements and data integrity initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Vertex tax solutions (e.g., Vertex O Series, Vertex Cloud).
• Strong experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA, particularly in tax configuration, SD/MM integration, and financial postings.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO modules.
• Proven track record in global tax environments, preferably within multinational corporations.
• Solid understanding of indirect tax processes, including US Sales and Use tax, VAT and GST.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant SAP/CPA certifications are a plus.
• English proficiency is required. Spanish and/or Portuguese is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP Tax Service, SAP Localization Hub, or other tax engines.
• Familiarity with cloud-based tax solutions and API integrations.
