We are seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Data Mapping / Functional Consultant to support the functional mapping and validation of legacy HR and payroll data into the target SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll solution. This role will work closely with payroll functional, data conversion, integration, and legacy system teams to understand source data and business meaning, define appropriate mappings to the target ECP solution, identify required transformations, and validate converted data. The ideal candidate will combine strong SAP HCM/Employee Central Payroll functional knowledge with hands-on data mapping and conversion experience.
Data Mapping & Functional Analysis Analyze legacy HR and payroll data and map source values and structures to the appropriate target SAP Employee Central Payroll data structures and values. Develop and maintain detailed source-to-target data mapping specifications. Work with legacy system SMEs to understand source data definitions, values, business rules, and historical usage. Apply SAP HCM/ECP functional knowledge to determine appropriate target fields, values, and structures. Define value mappings, transformations, defaulting rules, and other functional conversion requirements. Identify data that does not have a direct target equivalent and work with functional leads to determine the appropriate treatment. Identify data quality issues, gaps, and inconsistencies requiring business or functional resolution. Ensure mappings align with the approved ECP configuration and payroll solution design. Maintain traceability of mapping decisions, assumptions, and outstanding issues. Data Conversion & Validation Partner with technical/data conversion resources to translate functional mappings into executable conversion requirements. Support iterative data conversion cycles by reviewing and validating converted data in SAP. Perform functional validation of converted employee and payroll data against approved mappings and source-system values. Analyze conversion errors and data discrepancies and determine whether issues originate from source data, mapping logic, transformation rules, target configuration, or conversion processing. Support reconciliation activities to confirm completeness and accuracy of converted data. Coordinate resolution of data issues with payroll functional, conversion, technical, and legacy teams. Support data readiness activities leading into testing, payroll parallel testing, and production cutover. Update mapping specifications and conversion rules as issues or new requirements are identified through conversion cycles. Experience / Skills Strong functional knowledge of SAP HCM Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP). Strong understanding of SAP HCM/ECP payroll data structures, fields, and values. Previous experience supporting data mapping and conversion for an SAP HCM/Payroll implementation. Experience developing and maintaining source-to-target data mappings. Ability to understand legacy HR/payroll data and determine its appropriate representation within the target SAP solution. Experience defining data transformations, value mappings, defaulting rules, and conversion requirements. Experience validating converted data and troubleshooting data discrepancies. Understanding of the relationship between employee/master data and payroll processing. Experience collaborating with payroll functional consultants, legacy SMEs, conversion developers, and testing teams. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
