SAP S/4HANA RTR - Lead Functional Consultant

• We are seeking a seasoned SAP S/4HANA RTR Lead Consultant with SAP S/4HANA RTR functional & technical experience executing and delivering a complex migration project from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
• The candidate will be responsible for the configuration of SAP S/4HANA Target System to receive selected data migrated from a current SAP ECC system to ensure a seamless transition, while providing expert guidance and support to clients throughout the configuration build, testing and cutover activities of their journey to SAP S/4HANA.

• LeadAS-IS / TO-BE workshops to capture and map business requirements across finance and controlling processes.

• Analyze end-to-end business processes includingcost management, financial reporting, and system integrations.

• Align finance transformation initiatives withoverall business strategy and SAP best practices.

• Document business requirements, functional specifications, and solution designs.

RTR Functional Expertise

• Provide expert functional leadership across theRecord-to-Report (RTR) workstream, including:

  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Asset Accounting (AA)

  • Cash Management

  • Cost Center Accounting

  • Profit Center Accounting

  • Internal Orders

  • Product Costing

  • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) including Margin Analysis

• Collaborate with theSAP S/4HANA Core Team to configure and customize solutions.

• Ensure all configurations followSAP best practices, compliance standards, and industry benchmarks.

S/4HANA Transformation & Implementation

• SupportS/4HANA transformation projects including:

  • System configuration

  • Data migration

  • Functional design validation

  • Issue resolution and troubleshooting

  • End-user training and knowledge transfer

• Provide hands-on functional expertise duringbuild, test, and deployment phases.

• Support cutover activities and post-go-live stabilization.

Business Process Analysis & Optimization

• Work closely withFinance and Controlling stakeholders to understand operational and reporting needs.

• Analyze existing financial processes to identifygaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

• Design and optimizecontrolling processes to improve transparency, accuracy, and performance.

• Ensure SAP S/4HANA solutions fully supportbusiness operations and statutory reporting requirements.

Testing, Training & Support

• Develop and execute:

  • Test plans

  • Test scenarios

  • Test scripts

• PerformSystem Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing.

• Collaborate with business users to:

  • Resolve defects

  • Address functional gaps

  • Validate solutions against business expectations

• Conductend-user training sessions for RTR processes.

• Provide ongoingproduction support and issue resolution for RTR-related incidents.

Integration & Data Migration

• Ensure seamless integration betweenS/4HANA Finance and other SAP modules including:

  • Order to Cash (OTC)

  • Sourcing & Procurement (P2P)

  • Manufacturing

  • Supply Chain

• Overseedata migration from SAP ECC and legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.

• Collaborate withSelective Data Transition / Bluefield Migration teams to ensure:

  • Minimal business disruption

  • Data integrity and accuracy

• Work closely with technical teams on:

  • Data extraction

  • Data transformation

  • Data loading (ETL)

• Support migration activities duringbuild, test, mock runs, and cutover phases.

Reporting & Analytics

• Design, develop, and maintainfinancial reports and dashboards using SAP reporting tools.

• LeverageSAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics to deliver real-time financial insights.

• Support management reporting, variance analysis, and profitability analysis.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Act as theprimary point of contact for key business and IT stakeholders.

• Provide regular:

  • Status updates

  • Progress reports

  • Steering committee presentations

• Proactively gather, validate, and refine business requirements.

• Address stakeholder concerns and incorporate feedback throughout the transformation lifecycle.

• Build strong client relationships, ensuringtrust, transparency, and confidence in project delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in RTR workstream including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cash Management, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis including Margin Analysis, implementation and support.
• Strong analytical Skills to analyze complex business data, identify potential issues, business challenges, recommend and develop solutions implementing with SAP Best practices.
• Should be well versed with end-to-end Product costing processes including Material Ledger functionality with integration points with other modules like Product Planning, Materials Management, Order to Cash etc.
• Should have worked on reports and able to identify the requirement and integrate effectively with SAP BW/BI or other reporting tools.
• Certification in SAP S/4HANA is required.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead customer engagements at an executive level.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
• Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences including the ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes domain expertise.
• Working knowledge of SAP Activate Roadmap for Central Finance
• Primarily Remote with occasional onsite meetings

• Experience, knowledge in other SAP modules and migration tools, such as Data Migration Cockpit, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, Production Planning, Inventory Management and Warehouse Management is a plus.
• Prior experience with SAP RISE implementations.
• Understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) applications and use cases.
• Understanding and working knowledge of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and potential integration scenarios using MDG.
