SAP PLM/PDM Consultant

Job Summary

The SAP PLM/PDM Consultant is responsible for implementing, supporting, and enhancing SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management (PDM) solutions. The role involves managing product structures, engineering change processes, document management, material master data, BOMs, and integration with other SAP modules to support efficient product development and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP PLM/PDM processes including:
• Document Management System (DMS)
• Engineering Change Management (ECM)
• Product Structure Management
• Material Master Management
• Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
• Classification and Variant Configuration
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP PLM solutions.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and propose best practice solutions.
• Support product development, engineering, manufacturing, and quality processes.
• Design and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Prepare functional specifications and support development activities.

Support & Enhancement

• Provide production support for PLM/PDM-related incidents and service requests.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve system issues.
• Implement enhancements and process improvements.
• Support SAP upgrades, migrations, and system integrations.

Integration Responsibilities

• Work closely with the following SAP modules:
• SAP MM (Materials Management)
• SAP PP (Production Planning)
• SAP QM (Quality Management)
• SAP EWM
• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP MDG
• Support integration with CAD systems such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, and Siemens NX.

Documentation & Governance

• Create and maintain business process documents, SOPs, and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with product data governance and change management procedures.
• Conduct end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of:
• SAP ABAP debugging
• SAP Fiori Apps

• SAP Business Workflow
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA PLM solutions.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of SAP PLM/PDM implementation or support experience.
• Experience in at least one end-to-end SAP PLM implementation.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA PLM preferred.
• Experience in AMS support, incident management, and enhancement projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• SAP PLM certification preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, consumer products, or industrial engineering industries.
• Knowledge of Agile and SAP Activate methodology.
