Job Description:
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experiencedSAP Integration Architect to lead enterprise-wide integration strategy, architecture, and delivery across complex SAP transformation programs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise inSAP BTP Integration Suite (SAP CPI), EDI/B2B integrations, hybrid cloud integration landscapes, and SAP-centric application integration architectures.
This role will provide technical leadership for large-scale SAP implementations and modernization initiatives, ensuring scalable, secure, and clean-core aligned integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Architecture & Strategy
  • Define and govern enterprise integration architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices across SAP and non-SAP ecosystems.
  • Design scalable integration solutions supporting:
    • On-Premise to On-Premise
    • On-Premise to Cloud
    • Cloud to Cloud
    • On-Premise to SaaS
    • SaaS to SaaS integrations
  • Lead architecture reviews and provide technical oversight from solution design through deployment and hypercare.
  • Establish integration patterns aligned with SAP Clean Core principles and SAP BTP Integration Suite capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and functional teams to translate business requirements into integration solutions.
SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite Leadership
  • Architect, design, and oversee development of complex integration scenarios using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
  • Drive development of custom iFlows leveraging:
    • Message Mapping
    • XSLT Mapping
    • Content Modifier
    • Router
    • Splitter
    • Aggregator
    • Exception Handling
    • Process Direct
    • JMS and Event-based patterns
  • Provide expertise in Groovy scripting and/or JavaScript for advanced transformation and orchestration requirements.
  • Guide development teams on reusable integration frameworks, standards, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Manage CPI monitoring, troubleshooting, certificate lifecycle management, keystore administration, and operational support processes.
EDI & B2B Integration Architecture
  • Architect and govern B2B and EDI integrations across suppliers, customers, logistics providers, and trading partners.
  • Design and support integrations using:
    • EDIFACT
    • ANSI X12
    • XML
    • JSON
    • Industry-specific EDI standards
  • Define and manage trading partner onboarding processes and communication protocols such as:
    • AS2
    • SFTP
    • OFTP
    • VAN
  • Ensure compliance, reliability, and scalability of B2B transaction processing.
SAP Functional & Cross-System Integration
  • Partner with SAP functional teams across:
    • SD
    • MM
    • FI/CO
    • TM
    • WM/EWM
    • SuccessFactors
  • Design integrations involving SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, third-party applications, banks, logistics providers, and external SaaS platforms.
  • Drive API-led integration strategies using REST, SOAP, OData, and event-driven architectures.
Leadership & Governance
  • Lead and mentor integration architects, developers, and technical teams.
  • Establish development standards, code reviews, architecture governance, and implementation best practices.
  • Maintain architecture artifacts, interface inventories, integration catalogs, technical specifications, and operational runbooks.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to project leadership, business stakeholders, and client executives.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Primary Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in SAP integration technologies.
  • Minimum4+ years of hands-on SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite experience.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale system integration teams and managing end-to-end delivery of enterprise integration programs.
  • Strong track record delivering integration solutions across hybrid landscapes including on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments.
  • Deep expertise in:
    • SAP CPI/iFlow development
    • Groovy Script and/or JavaScript
    • API-led integrations
    • Message Mapping
    • XSLT Transformations
    • Integration Architecture Patterns
  • Strong knowledge of SAP CPI adapters including:
    • File
    • RFC
    • IDoc
    • JDBC
    • SOAP
    • REST
    • SFTP
    • JMS
    • OData
    • SuccessFactors
  • Experience with integration testing tools such as:
    • Postman
    • SoapUI
  • Familiarity with:
    • SAP Cloud Connector
    • SAP BTP Cockpit

  • Extensive experience in CPI monitoring, debugging, trace analysis, security certificates, keystores, and operational support.
  • Strong understanding of EDI/B2B integration architecture and trading partner management.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business and executive stakeholders.
Preferred / Secondary Skills
  • Experience with SAP PI/PO architecture, migration, and coexistence strategies.
  • Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying A2A and B2B integrations using SAP PI/PO.
  • Proficiency in:
    • ESR Objects
    • ID Objects
    • Graphical Mapping
    • Java Mapping
    • XML Technologies
  • Working knowledge of SAP PO NetWeaver Administrator (NWA) including:
    • Certificate Management
    • Destination Configuration
    • PGP Encryption
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation programs and integration modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture, Integration Suite advanced event mesh, and API management capabilities.
  • SAP Integration Suite or SAP BTP certifications preferred.
Leadership Expectations 
  • Serve as the Integration Architecture lead for strategic SAP transformation programs.
  • Influence enterprise integration roadmaps and technology decisions.
  • Build and mentor high-performing integration teams.
  • Establish reusable integration assets, frameworks, and governance standards.
  • Engage with senior client stakeholders and executive leadership to drive business outcomes through technology transformation.
