SAP FICO / TRM / BPC Consultant (Senior Level)

About The Job:

• We are seeking a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of experience and strong end-to-end Finance Transformation expertise on SAP S/4HANA.
• The candidate will act as an Independent Finance Transformation & ERP Program Lead, representing the CFO organization during the SAP S/4HANA transformation program.
• This role requires deep expertise in Finance, Controls, ERP transformation, SAP S/4HANA, Treasury & Risk Management (TRM), Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), and enterprise integration programs.
• The individual will provide an independent client-side perspective, challenge delivery evidence, identify risks early, and ensure business readiness while collaborating with implementation partners and internal stakeholders.

Program Context

• Lead the finance transformation initiatives for an MRO business migrating from Ramco ERP to SAP S/4HANA.
• Support implementation across one MRO legal entity, Hyderabad office, and multiple satellite locations.
• Work across SAP modules including:
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO)
  • Treasury & Risk Management (TRM)
  • Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC)
  • Funds Management (FM)
  • Materials Management (MM)
  • Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
  • Sales & Distribution (SD)

Essential Job Functions:
Finance Transformation & ERP Program Leadership

• Act as the independent Finance Transformation Lead representing the CFO organization.
• Drive execution governance across the SAP S/4HANA implementation program.
• Independently review implementation evidence and challenge project assumptions where required.
• Identify risks related to finance processes, controls, integrations, reporting, and compliance.
• Convert unresolved business and technical issues into actionable decisions and recommendations.
• Provide objective readiness assessments and escalation reporting for executive leadership.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, implementation partners, and IT teams while maintaining an independent client-side perspective.

Finance Process & Control Design

• Lead finance process reviews across Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R).
• Review and validate:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting
  • Inventory Valuation
  • Costing and Cost Management
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Work-in-Progress (WIP) Accounting
  • Treasury & Risk Management (TRM)
  • Budgeting & Funds Management
  • Lease Accounting (REFX)
  • Management Reporting
• Validate tax structures, statutory compliance requirements, and financial controls.
• Review segregation of duties (SoD), approval workflows, audit controls, and access management.
• Identify manual controls and operational risks and establish mitigation plans.
• Ensure readiness for first financial close and reconciliation post go-live.

SAP S/4HANA, Ramco & Integration Governance

• Govern SAP-to-Ramco and Ramco-to-SAP integration activities.
• Review and validate:
  • Master Data Integration
  • Inventory Transactions
  • Goods Receipt Processes
  • Procurement Integration
  • Consumption Transactions
  • Billing and Revenue Interfaces
  • Data Reconciliation Processes
• Ensure complete interface design documentation, validations, business rules, and ownership models.
• Oversee SAP CPI integration governance and enterprise system connectivity.
• Validate field mappings, transformation logic, reconciliation controls, and error handling mechanisms.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

• Establish finance risk and control governance frameworks.
• Perform readiness assessments for deployment and business adoption.
• Identify project, process, operational, financial, and integration risks.
• Provide executive-level risk reporting and mitigation recommendations.
• Support governance forums, steering committee reviews, and executive reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications:
Mandatory Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
• 10+ years of end-to-end Finance Transformation experience.
• Strong experience leading ERP transformation programs.
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation experience.
• Deep understanding of Finance, Accounting, Controls, and Reporting processes.
• Experience working with CFO offices and finance leadership teams.
