Role Overview
- We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BW Consultant with an advanced technical background in ABAP programming and a strong understanding of business functional processes.
- The candidate is an expert in data lifecycle management—specifically Data Archiving and Near-Line Storage (NLS)—and must possess deep, hands-on migration experience transitioning legacy BW systems to modern architectures, focusing on converting classic DSOs to ADSOs and MultiProviders to Composite Providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the technical conversion of Classic DSOs to Advanced DSOs (ADSOs) using standard SAP tools and manual optimization techniques.
- Drive the migration of MultiProviders into Composite Providers, ensuring data integrity and query performance optimization.
- Evaluate legacy data flows and redesign them to align with modern SAP BW/4HANA or BW-on-HANA best practices.
- Advanced ABAP Development: Write, debug, and optimize complex ABAP code specifically within SAP BW objects.
- Transformation Routines: develop custom BW Transformation routines (Start, Field, Expert, and End routines) and AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures).
- Extractor Optimization: drive performance improvement of custom Generic Extractors and enhance standard SAP extractors using Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) and user exits.
- Data Lifecycle Management: implement robust data archiving strategies utilizing Near-Line Storage (NLS) solutions.
- Volume & Partition Management: manage partition strategies, archive administration (SARA), and optimize data volume to ensure peak system performance and storage cost efficiency.
